Taking inspiration from The Venture OUT Project, Paddle OUT is aimed towards LGBTQI+ community who would like to take on the challenge of a multi-day sea kayaking expedition within a comfortable, safe and supportive space.

We warmly invite you to build community, relax, and challenge yourself through the shared experience of an outdoor paddling adventure. On this trip you can build up confidence in your paddling and outdoors abilities, connect with others and build up fitness all while taking in the incredible journey of Munamudanamy.

When: 17-22nd August 2025

Where: Munamudanamy (Hinchinbrook Island) & the Family Islands, in tropical North Queensland.

How much: $2900pp ($500 deposit)

Our 6 day Hinchinbrook Expedition is one of the worlds best sea kayaking journeys. Imagine an island paradise lying inside the Great Barrier Reef where towering mountains give way to pristine rainforest fringed by stunning sandy beaches and warm, azure waters. On this island your footprints will be the only prints on the beach. Hinchinbrook Island is Australia’s largest island national park and lies within the Great Barrier Reef world heritage area. These jaw dropping landscapes are home to diverse and rare plant, animal and marine life for you to discover along the way.

This trip involves:​

  • 2-4 hours of paddling in Sea Kayak per day

  • Camping in tents

  • Carrying all our food & equipment in our Kayaks.

  • Short Bushwalks and Beachcombing

  • Swimming and snorkelling

  • Gourmet expedition cuisine

 

To participate in the trip you should:

  • have moderate fitness

  • have good water confidence

  • have good swimming ability

  • be comfortable at sea

  • be keen to camp out
