The Kula Route

On this route we paddle West, from Kitai Island, to Basilaki Island, Sideia Island and finally towards the Samarai Island Group. All the photos below were taken along this route and might give you some idea of the experience. This is a social expedition, and a huge part of the experience is getting to know the people that we meet along the way.

Please fill out the form at the bottom of this page if you are interested in joining a PNG trip so that we can let you know if a space becomes available.

Which trips are you interested in?
Imagine...Flights are delayed for 2 days, then our original accomodation in Alotau is unable to host us anymore so we arrange another hotel instead, but now in order to reach the charter boat we have to carry our gear through a wet field. How do you feel?
Sour. PNG should offer better service!
A bit hard done by. Someone should have seen this coming and planned better!
Eager and stoked to start paddling! Complications are to be expected with travel in PNG, and I chose to come on this adventure knowing this :)
Other

We acknowledge the Bandjin and Girramay People, the traditional custodians of the lands and water on which we work, live and play. We pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging.
